The 39CA gets a refresh to become the Grandezza 40CA
See it: 9/A26
Grandezza has been quietly winning fans with its combination of handsome looks, practical design, solid build and punchy sterndrive performance.
The Grandezza 40CA is not strictly a new boat, as it’s based on the 39CA, but there have been some tweaks to improve life on board, such as an extended bathing platform, larger hull windows and increased on-board storage space.
Two supportive helm seats replace the former bench, and the electric hi-lo saloon table is now standard.
The basic layout is much the same, though, but that’s no bad thing because it works well. With the saloon located on the main deck, there is enough space down below for two generous cabins plus a small galley and bathroom.
The main outdoor living space is the cockpit, athough by opening the doors and sunroof in the saloon you can enjoy the fresh air inside as well as out.
All engine options are on sterndrives to the tune of either 300 or 370hp, thanks to Volvo’s D4s and D6s, and you can expect a top speed in the high 30s with the bigger lumps.
