Sealine F380 to star at first ever Windermere Boat Show

The first annual Windermere Boat Show will take place next month, with the Sealine F380 set to be the star attraction

Windermere is due to host its first ever boat show next month (20-22 March), with models from the likes of Sealine, Jeanneau and Four Winns on display.

Run by local broker Shepherds Marine and Windermere Marina Village, the Windermere Boat Show will be free to attend from 10am to 6pm.

In the first of what is hoped to be a series of annual events, the organisers have brought together a wide range of vessels, from Jeanneau sailboats to the Haines 32.

But the star of the Windermere Boat Show is likely to be the award-winning Sealine F380, the first model built by the firm’s new German parent company Hanse Group.

Windermere is England’s largest natural lake, but boats have been subject to a 10mph speed limit since 2005.

Jason Dearden, managing director at Shepherds Marine and Windermere Marina Village, said: “This will be the first ever boat show on England’s largest natural lake.

“Despite the speed limit on Windermere, there is a thriving boating community here in the Lake District and this is a great opportunity to take a look at a selection of both sail and power boats – from sports vessels to 40 foot motor cruisers.”

Windermere Marina Village is the largest inland marina in the North West and has recently been renovated, with 40 new holiday apartments added to the site.
