12 world premieres heading to Cannes show

With just under 3 months to go until the 2015 Cannes Yachting Festival, we have rounded up 12 of the most exciting models making their debut

This year’s Cannes Yachting Festival is due a bumper crop of brand new motorboats, with more than 60 models set to make their world debut.

With this in mind, we’ve been rounding up some of the most exciting designs that will be taking shape over the next three months.

Magellano 66 - hard-topOur round-up starts with the Azimut Magellano 66, which expands the Italian brand’s trawler range following on from the highly popular Magellano 43.

Much like the 43, the 66 will sport a top speed of 22 knots, but unlike its predecessor, it will come with Volvo Penta D13 engines.

There is no shortage of British brands attending the show, and Princess Yachts will be hoping to steal the limelight with its latest superyacht, the 35M.

Key highlights of this 245-tonne vessel include a bathing platform that lowers into the water to make launching a tender effortless.

Axopar-37-AC-back2At the other end of the scale, Finnish manufacturer Axopar will be unveiling its 37ft model, which aims to build on the success of the 28, which was our cover star for May.

Engine options have yet to be revealed for the Axopar 37, but the top speed is expected to be in excess of 40 knots.

Meanwhile, the Riva 76 should make a big impression, with the Italian brand claiming that it has already sold two of these sportscruisers off plan before production has even begun.

Other highlights to look out for include the San Lorenzo 460EXP, Baglietto 43M, De Antonio D43, Elan 37, Mangusta 94, Monte Carlo 105, Prestige 680 and Outer Reef Trident 550.
