Welcome to the 2011 Motor Boats Monthly Cruising Club

Goes

Welcome to the launch of a very special 2011 Cruising Club programme. This year we celebrate our silver jubilee! Over the last 25 years thousands of motorboaters have undertaken their first Channel crossing or major sea passage under the guidance of the experienced MBM team. The participants may have changed, the MBM team has certainly changed but one thing remains the same – the thrill the participants get when they make their first foreign land fall.

Back in 1987 our first ever cruise departed Lymington with 12 boats, ranging from a 22ft Sealine to a Birchwood TS37 (a huge boat at that time) and headed for the Channel Islands of Alderney and Guernsey. In 2011, these beautiful islands have lost none of their charm and are still a firm favourite among south coast boaters and, in our mind, one of the best cruising destinations the British Isles has to offer. So it’s with great pleasure that we will again be visiting these fabulous islands not once this year but twice.

Our season starts with a cruise that takes us back to our roots. A one-week Cross-Channel Experience to France and the Channel Islands. This family friendly cruise is timed to coincide with the school half term and is therefore perfect for those with children, as well as those who are unable to take two weeks out of their busy schedule.

The second trip, MBM’s two-week Summer Cruise, will again takes in the delights of the Channel Islands as well as three stunning West Country ports.
