Pearl team up with Kelly Hoppen on new 75ft flagship

Famous interior designer to give new Pearl 75 "something a little different"

Pearl Motor Yachts have revealed that the interior of their new flagship, the Pearl 75, will be styled by in-demand designer Kelly Hoppen MBE.

The boat is due for release in early 2012, and its interior will fuse “Eastern principles of simplicity and balance and the Western tastes for sumptuous textures and luxurious finishes”.

The use of famous interior designers for new boats is becoming increasingly common, with Sealine working with Studio Conran on their T60 Aura and, more recently, Outer Reef’s announcement that Ken Freivokh would be designing their interiors.

Pearl’s MD, Iain Smallridge, said: “The international reputation of Kelly Hoppen precedes her and this exciting new partnership will continue to keep Pearl at the forefront of innovative yacht design as we strive to offer our customers something a little different.

The Pearl 75 has been on the drawing board for nearly three years and is a result of demand from our current owners, some of whom have been involved in the development process.”

The 75 will feature four staterooms, an open-plan galley and a seating area next to the helm sheltered by a conservatory-like glass roof.

Twin 1,150hp CATs driving ZF pods should see the boat up to 30 knots.
