Day 10 (part 1) Channel Islands Liberation Cruise

Strong winds keep us in Guernsey until tomorrow

The wind still hasn’t dropped off, so we have decided to stay another day in Guernsey and make the move to the UK tomorrow. The sun is strong here in the marina – quite the contrast to the conditions out at sea.
The forecast is looking good for tomorrow, so the plans are being drawn up for departure times in the morning.

With one last day left on the island, we have plenty to keep ourselves busy from fixing water pumps to collecting mooring fees. Participants have taken the last opportunity to explore the island, visiting the Occupation Museum and German Underground Hospital for example.

Our neighbouring boat, Cygnus, treated us to some boat-baked brownies. The smell filled the boat and, like vultures, we descended on them and soon they were all gone!
