A rest day in Guernsey before the Liberation
As usual the tide falls at the wrong time, which gave us just two hours to get nearly all the boats fuelled up. We started early at 7am, but due to a delivery Princess 98 having issues with Customs, we were only able to fuel one boat at a time. Eventually with just over an hour to get another 11 boats through, the Princess made way and we got nearly all of the boats sorted.
The sun is shining over Guernsey and the sound of the hill climb race is echoing through the marina.
The water is almost crystal clear, with the bottom of the marina clearly visible, giving the impression of being somewhere in the Mediterranean, although not quite as warm yet.
With a few days here and Liberation day on Wednesday, it is sure to be an exciting trip!
