Garmin is offering a range of screen sizes, from 7-12 inches, and all models will come with pinch-to-zoom functionality.
The 10Hz GPS should make position tracking more seamless on either the worldwide basemap or the BlueChart g2 charts, which can be added as an optional upgrade .
Dan Bartel, vice-president of worldwide sales at Garmin, said: “With the GPSMAP 7400, we’ve integrated the features that the mariner needs in any boating situation.
“We’re offering a sonar and non-sonar version as everyone needs a product to perform differently in various situations.”
Available in the first few months of 2015, the GPSMAP 7400 series will have price tags starting at £1,329.99.
