Haines hails ‘most successful’ Southampton boat show

The launch of the 32 Offshore drew plenty of showgoers to the Haines stand

Haines Marine has hailed the 2014 PSP Southampton Boat Show (12-21 September) as “the most successful boat show in the company’s history”.

The Norfolk boatyard used the show to launch the offshore version of its 32ft cruiser, which drew a strong crowd to its area of the marina.

With the model on display sold on the opening day, Haines’ week got even better when a second deal was struck on day three.

Further enquiries about the new Haines 360 and the Haines 400 led the yard to predict a strong 2015.

General interest in boating also seems to be on the rise, with Haines staff reporting that many boaters have enjoyed a particularly long season, due to warmer than average British weather.

The Haines 32 Offshore features an Andrew Wolstenholme-designed hull and has achieved a top speed of 20 knots from its 270bhp Nanni T4 engine. To read our full review, pick up the November edition of MBY.
