Mustang Marine in trouble?

Mustang Marine into administration, reports say

It’s been a bumpy ride for Mustang Marine these last few years but it looks like it may be about to get a whole lot worse.

Reports coming in suggest that the company, one of Australia’s biggest boat builders, has gone into administration.

The news broke on www.goldcoast.com.au with a quote from Sydney-based receiver Steve Sherman stating that they had taken control of the business and were hopeful of finding a new buyer.

Mustang’s UK sales presence has been less than ideal, with several dealers coming and going in the last few years.

However, after a high profile, five boat, push at this year’s Southampton Boat Show by the current importer, Whittey Marine, its fortunes appeared to be on the up.

Should the news coming out of Australia prove correct it could leave Whittey Marine, and anyone who has placed an order for a boat, in a tight spot.
