Another day of rain and sunny spells for the fleet in Port Zelande

For brief periods today, it seemed as though the weather was getting better. The sun shone, the wind died and hopes lifted. But it didn’t last. The clouds were soon upon us once again and with them came the rain.

So, understandably, today has been a low key affair. The youngsters had a good time though, taking advantage of the swimming and bowling facilities at the local Centre Parcs.

MBM’s Neale got a thorough soaking in efforts to diagnose a problem aboardKwester III. He stepped back on boardCalm Voyagersporting a look that said ‘laugh at me at your peril’. A cup of tea and some dry clothes soon improved his mood. The problem, as it turned out, isKwester III’sbatteries. A new pair will have to be bought tomorrow.

It’s another short hop across the Grevelingenmeer tomorrow to our next destination of Brouwershaven. The fleet should start moving at around lunchtime, so crews can have a lie in. Everyone has their fingers crossed tonight in hopes tomorrow will dawn in brilliant sunshine.
