What to see at the 2014 British Motor Yacht Show

With just three days to go until Swanwick Marina welcomes hoardes of boat lovers for the second annual British Motor Yacht Show, MBM has rounded up some of the best bits

For the second year in a row, four of the biggest names in motor yachting are uniting at Swanwick Marina for the British Motor Yacht Show (16-18 May).

Fairline, Princess, Sunseeker and Premier Marinas are teaming up once again to put on the boating extravaganza, which attracted 3,300 visitors in its inaugural year.

The free event is the first place in the UK where motorboat fans will be able to see the new Princess S72, as we reported last week.

Bates Wharf is one of the foremost dealers in attendance, bringing a brace of Fairline Squadron 42s a Targa 50 and a Targa 38 Open.

Sunseeker fans will be glad to learn that Sunseeker London will be in attendance, with a Sport Yacht 68 and a Sport Yacht 80.

Other models on display include the Manhattan 55, the San Remo 485 and the Portofino 40. But there’s a lot more to this show than just ogling glamorous motor yachts.

Elsewhere, electronics and deck gear supplier Landau will be presenting all the latest products and equipment, including onboard phone and broadband systems, generators, electric folding bikes and much more.

Members of the Landau team will be on hand to discuss interior alterations and modifications.

Swanwick Marina will be welcoming guests from 10am to 5pm on each day of the British Motor Yacht Show, and with warm weather forecast all signs points to a busy weekend.
