Ebel stays with Honda series

Swiss watch maker remains despite reducing fleet

Luxury Swiss watch maker, Ebel, has announced it will continue as official timing partner for the forthcoming 2009 Honda Formula 4-Stroke series. It will be involved in all timing related elements including both 150hp and 225hp categories.

As in 2008, the season will conclude with Ebel awarding the first, second and third place winners in each category with a luxury prize at the end of season party set to be held in a private location in Windsor. This year the Swiss watch maker will also be awarding the winning team of each category with a unique Ebel wall mounted clock to mark the commemorative the series’10th anniversary.

The season will open on May 9-10th with the Pwllheli Grand Prix in North Wales. Up to 20 teams across two classes are expected to compete in this year’s Grand Prix season between May and September. A sad reflection of the current economic situation is that this size of fleet is almost 30 per cent less than competed in 2008
