Day 3 – Collins London Boat Show 2007

A round-up of what's happening at the show and what's on the agenda for the MBM team today....

“Why is everyone wearing waterproofs?” observed Tim Pyne, Creative Director of the Collins London Boat Show. Our answer, “because they’re boaters”.

It’s day three at the Collins Stewart London Boats Show and dryer start to the day than yesterday, as flocks of eager visitors descend on Excel.

On preview day Tim Pyne explained to us about the new features of the show and how visitors can navigate their way around them by looking overhead for the flocks of seagulls. An idea that is echoed as you walk towards the entrance of Excel from the DLR, the visitor is greeted with a dawn chorus of seagull chatter and wave sounds. Today I will be interviewing ‘the boaters of the future’, the kids about their likes and dislikes here at the show and at 3:15 this afternoon Simon and Carl will present their guide to buying a boat, taking place at the Sky Sports theatre here at the boat show.
