A swan, which has been accused of attacking river users on the River Cam, could be relocated if a licence to move it and its family is approved
A swan, nicknamed ‘Mr Asbo’ following a number of incidents near its nesting area on the River Cam, could be soon be relocated if an application to remove it is approved.
Natural England has confirmed that it has received an application from the Conservators of the River Cam to relocate the swan.
A spokesperson for the Conservators of the River Cam told The Metro that there had been a number of incidents involving the swan, which is very protective over its nesting area.
The spokesperson said, “We have had people who have been bruised and shaken up. We have had one direct collision incident between a rowing boat and a narrowboat.”
