Strong winds and heavy rain causes organisers to postpone the Beale Park Boat Show
Visitors to the Beale Park
Boat Show were turned away today as organisers deemed it unsafe because
of the severe weather conditions. The three-day show has been postponed
until tomorrow, although the event is still weather
dependent. This comes as the Met Office issued weather warnings for
much of the country over the weekend with gales and heavy rain forecast.
Organisers told MBM, “All
tickets bought for Friday will be valid all weekend, but keep an eye on
the Beale Park Boat Show website for the latest updates.”
This is the second time that a
marine event has been disrupted because of the weather. The Beaulieu
Boat Jumble was cancelled in April as strong winds prevented exhibitors
from setting up their stalls.
