Bénéteau announces Antares 8 Classic special edition

The French manufacturer is producing a special edition Antares 8 with added gear such as bow thrusters and hydraulic steering

Bénéteau has announced the production of a special edition Antares 8 model, with plenty of added extras.

The Bénéteau Antares 8 Classic, as it will be known, features the same 24ft hull but with a Grey ‘perle’ finish.

Beyond the aesthetics, Bénéteau has added hydraulic steering, bowthrusters, stainless steel swivel bow fitting, and a pickups depth sounder.

Inside, Antares 8 Classic owners will get a 42-litre fridge, blackout curtains, an MP3-compatible stereo system, a Raymarine a67 touchscreen control system, and a 220v on-shore hook-up.

There is no word on price yet, but as many of these features were previously available in the Seamotion optional extras pack, there will presumably be some kind of bundle discount.
