The inaugural Big Splash, held from 13-15 August at Cowes Yacht Haven, is set to be the motorboating event of the social calendar, with an on-the-water treasure hunt, onboard cookery demonstrations, circus performers and technical workshops to keep the whole family entertained.
TV chef and keen boater Simon Woodhouse will stir up the crowd by providing some practical lessons on how to turn your galley into a gastronomic wonder by showing you how to cook no nonsense food that is good for the soul.
Elsewhere, circus performers will teach kids (and adults short of a party trick) some key skills to show off to their friends. While for those of you that fancy something a bit more refined, there will be trips to Kendall’s Fine Art gallery where you can indulge in a spot of wine tasting.
Tickets cost £160 for boats under 40ft; £190 for boats between 40ft and 50ft, and £225 for boats over 51ft. Ticket price includes two nights berthing in the marina, plus access to event activities but you will need to buy separate tickets for meals.
