Chris Parsonage Racing Team to join final rounds in Italian colours
British Class 1 owner Chris Parsonage has revealed his team will have an all-Italian driver line-up for the penultimate and final grands prix of the season in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Parsonage has confirmed that Giovanni Carpitella – who was his crew in the Italian Grand Prix in Stresa – will be joining his Lamborghini V12-powered Negotiator alongside Class 1 debutant Luca Formilli Fendi.
Fendi has competed in XCAT, Class 3 and for the last three years in Powerboat P1, winning the European Championship in 2008.
Carpitella made his Class 1 debut in 2002 and will not be fazed by a seventh driver change in 30 race starts when he lines up in Abu Dhabi.
He has already guided two of his drivers to podium successes and race wins this season – Manuzzi in Norway and Al Tayer in Sweden.
