Curtis and Al-Thani win again in US offshore series

Pair move further up the points table after winning second championship round

Sheikh Hassan Bin Jabor Al-Thani and Britain’s Steve Curtis maintained their winning streak in the American OPA Offshore Racing series with victory in the second round of the championship at Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, on Sunday.

“It is great to win the second race of the campaign but I am sure the next one will have a calmer course which could give our rivals a slight advantage,” said Sheikh Hassan, driver of the winning Spirit of Qatar 96.

“The conditions out there were fine for us. We were involved in a good fight with WHM and Talk-N-Trash early on, but managed to take a good inside line through the third lap and went ahead.”

Talk-N-Trash eventually got the better of WHM to take second place, with the JD Byrider coming home in fourth position.
