Fairline Yachts opens new factory

Fairline Yachts has opened a new moulding facility in Oundle

Barely into its second year of trading, Fairline Yachts has announced an expansion of its facilities.

Following successful boat shows in London, Dusseldorf and the USA, a brand new 17,000 square foot production facility has been opened at Oundle Marina, Fairline’s original site when it first began fifty years ago.

The move follows the recent launch of two new models, the Targa 53 Open and the Squadron 53 (a full test of this latter boat is in the June issue of MBY). The new premises will also facilitate updates to interior finishes across the 48ft model range (Targa GT, Targa Open and Squadron) as well as a new hardtop option and new interior finishes for the Squadron 65.

Fairline Yachts, which rose from the ashes of Fairline Boats after that went into administration in December 2015, now employs over 250 people and has two brand new models on the drawing boards.

Italian superyacht designer, Alberto Mancini, is currently putting the finishing touches to the Targa 43 Open and the Targa 63GTO, both slated for launch later this year.
