Firefighters battle blaze on Pembroke minesweeper

Six people escaped unhurt from a blaze at Pembroke Dock in the early hours of yesterday morning

Six people escaped from a blaze on board a former minesweeper at Pembroke Dock in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The fire broke out on board a former minesweeper that was being converted to a liveaboard shortly after 6am.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was confined to wood in the living accommodation and that the fire was brought under control by 8.30am.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.
