Garmin calls on boat owners to test new action camera

The GPS technology specialist is looking to put its new VIRB camera to the ultimate test

If you’re in the market for a new action camera, then you might want to hold off for a while, as you could get to test out the latest model from Garmin for free.

The GPS technology specialist is on the hunt for 50 testers to put its new VIRB Elite through its paces.

To show off the action camera’s capabilities, Garmin is looking to bring together a wide range of testers.

The real world tests will include sports as diverse as sailing, powerboating, surfing and wakeboarding, as well as plenty of non-nautical activities.

Chosen testers will be expected to give feedback on image quality, battery life, durability/waterproofing, handling/ease of use, connectivity/additional features, and its bespoke editing software, VIRB Edit.

The company says the testing programme will last for several months, so you will potentially have all summer to test out the VIRB Elite.

To get involved, head to TryGarminVIRB.co.uk and punch in your details.

Good luck to everyone who enters and make sure to share your footage with us on Twitter (@mbmclub) if you’re chosen to be a tester.
