The 11,000-ton vessel is a semi-submersible, able to flood down to allow boats to be motored aboard, and will have a service speed of 18 knots. Facilities provided for boat crews will include an atrium, swimming pool, fitness room, and complimentary cabins.

Yacht Express is due to enter service with Dockwise Yacht Transport in June. It will be employed initially on an express transatlantic service between Florida and the Mediterranean, and will make a special appearance at the Monaco Yacht Show in September.
