Ireland rescue for four missing divers

Four divers were rescued off the coast of County Wexford in Ireland on Saturday after an operation involving four RNLI crews and the coastguard

A mammoth rescue operation was launched last Friday after four divers failed to return to shore.

The search included four RNLI lifeboats, a coastguard helicopter and a coastguard shore unit. The search was launched when the divers failed to return as expected at 10.30pm on Friday 17 June.

Kilmore Quay RNLI (pictured) was the first lifeboat to launch, followed by Dunmore East, Rosslare and Fethard. The divers were rescued at around 6am on Saturday morning, near the Saltee Islands, off the coast of Wexford where they were reportedly found clinging to an upturned boat.
