The Lucas Oil Offshore Race Team has announced their 2009 plans and is partnering with Outerlimits to compete next season in Powerboat P1 World Championship Evolution Class.

Mike Fiore, President of Outerlimits declared,

“It makes perfect sense to pull together the premium American brands of Chief Engines and Whipple Superchargers which are the perfect combination to take on the tough competition in Europe”.

The Outlerlimits team secured solid third place finishes in the 2007 and 2008 P1 World series.

“We see an opportunity to help Lucas Oil in the marine industry though our racing, Poker Runs, and trade shows” added Fiore. The new 43 Outerlimits has been cutting its teeth by competing in the APBA World Championships in Key West. The team is very pleased with Lucas Oil Outerlimits taking second place in the first of three races. Fiore states “It was certainly a great start as the team dials in and prepares this brand new boat for next year’s European P1 season.”
