Earthrace is to make a new attempt to win the round the world powerboat record. The 24m wave-piercing trimaran which runs on 100 per cent biodiesel will set off on 1st March from the Spanish port of Valencia.
SGC Energia from Portugal has been announced as a major new sponsor and will supply all the biofuel required for the record attempt. Earthrace will be in London for Christmas and New Year’s Eve, moored at the QEII Pier in North Greenwich (by the 02 Arena), hosted by Greenwich Council.
