A new royal yacht has been delivered to the Jordanian royal family. Traditional methods were used to build the 44m vessel which is constructed entirely from teak.

The royal dhow, which is said to be a gift from the Sultan of Oman, was built at Port Sultan Qaboos and took eight years to complete. It was shipped to Jordan aboard a heavy lift ship rather than making the voyage under its own power to ensure it arrived in pristine condition.
