Princess offers up a very special V39 for charity

British boatbuilder makes pink V39 for Plymouth Hospice's midnight walk

Princess Yachts has found a novel way of highlighting a local charity’s fundraising event. This pink V39 will be displayed in Plymouth city centre to raise awareness for St Luke’s Hospice, which provides palliative medical and nursing care to thousands of terminally ill patients in the southwest.

In 2012 the charity raised £190,000 when 2000 women took part in a sponsored midnight walk, and this year nearly 4000 people  are expected to take part in a similar event.

Last year the owner of Hardy Boats built a boat in pink to raise money for Cancer Research

Princess Yachts MD, Chris Gates, said, “We were delighted to be asked to sponsor St Luke’s Midnight Walk and wanted to show are appreciation for the incredible work the hospice does within our community.”

Sadly, the V39 won’t remain pink for long, it was vinyl wrapped by Yacht Wrap, which provided its services free of charge for St Luke’s.

The walk will take place on 27 July in Plymouth. For more details, or to donate money to the charity, click here.
