Pumpkin racing returns
Pumpkin racing returns to the Lymington River this Saturday. Once the giant pumpkins have been hollowed out they will be lowered into the water and, when they are deemed seaworthy, they will be fitted with an outboard engine.

Intrepid sailors, including Blue Peter presenters Konnie Huq and Zöe Salmon, will race the giant gourds to raise money for the Jubilee Sailing Trust. The pumpkin racing regatta is now in its third year and is the brain child of master grower Ian Paton.

The event will start at 8am on Saturday 20th October at Royal Lymington Yacht Club, and continue for most of the morning.
