Team behind online version of well-known almanac are hitting the road to introduce boaters to the new web service
The team behind the online version of Reeds Nautical Almanac will be visiting various yacht clubs over the winter months to talk to boaters about the new service.
The ‘Reeds on the Road’ tour has confirmed six dates and venues already (see below), and wants to hear from yacht clubs interested in taking part.
The online version of the well-known almanac is available for an annual subscription of £35, and includes all the information in the hard copy, as well as extra web features such as search.
“The tour aims to inform yacht club members how to use the Almanac, which features the most comprehensive navigation and pilotage information available online,” the company said.
“Participants can learn how to put together a detailed passage plan and predict weather and tides using the most up-to-the-minute information available.”
