Riva Iseo: A new baby from Riva

Riva to launch the new entry-level Iseo this summer

A baby Riva dubbed the Iseo will hit the water this summer.

MBY initially broke the story about an entry-level Riva back in 2008 and now, three years later, the plans have come to fruition.

The looks are exactly what you would expect from a yard with design heritage such as Riva, the Iseo is a shout back to the halcyon days of the iconic Aquarama.

Sumptuous lines tug at the heart strings as does the tried and tested formula of sunpad aft, comfortable cockpit in the middle and a small cuddy forward.

Despite the traditional shape the Iseo is very much a 21st Century creation. Riva have included Apple iPad connectivity for the boat from which you can run GPS, play music and films and even digitally browse the Iseo’s instruction manual.

The technology doesn’t stop there either, the boat is going to be available with the Ferretti Group’s Zero Emission Mode cruising system too, combining powerful diesel engines with an electric motor for silent and eco-friendly low speed cruising.

Two Yanmar diesel options are available, 260hp and 320hp respectively and one MerCruiser 380hp petrol variant which should mean a top speed of 38.5 knots. The largest diesel power plant will produce a hardly sluggish 37 knots flat out as well.
