RNLI names new chief executive

Paul Boissier has been named as the new Chief Executive of the RNLI, to replace Andrew Freemantle, who retires on 24 September

Paul Boissier has been named as the new chief executive of the RNLI. He recently retired from the Royal Navy, where he specialized in navigation and commanded the submarines Onyx and Trafalgar and the anti-submarine frigate Chatham.

For the past two years he was the Royal Navy’s chief operating officer, integrating the vital functions of HR, support, training, logistics and procurement. “It is a huge privilege to be asked to be the chief executive of the RNLI,” said Mr Boissier, “and I greatly look forward to taking up the appointment.”

He will take up his new role on 24 September, two days before the present CEO, Andrew Freemantle, officially retires.
