The RYA has announced two winners of its annual Coaching Awards
Two committed instructors have been rewarded for their efforts at the annual RYA Yachtmaster Instructor conference.
Nick Moulton (left), who was recently awarded an MBE, was named Yachtmaster Instructor of the Year, while Colin Ridley (right) was crowned Shorebased Instructor of the Year. Both awards, part of the RYA Coaching Awards recognise the skill and commitment that goes with instructing from the grass roots to Olympic levels.
The winners were chosen by the RYA’s Training Manager, James Stevens and Chief Cruising Instructor, Simon Jinks. These are just two of the 13 categories that make up the RYA Coaching Awards. The remaining winners will be announced at the RYA Dinghy Sailing Show, held at Alexandra Palace in London from 1-2 March.
