Defending champions secure valuable sponsorship

Reigning Honda Formula 4-Stroke 150hp Champions, Jak Cockman and Andy Phipps, feel certain there is still plenty of room for improvement for 2009 despite their winning success last season. The team have since attracted a new sponsor, Hydrex, for 2009. This company specialises in the short term rental, contract rental and sale of mobile plant and equipment within the rail, industrial, extraction and construction industries. Hydrex entered the motor sport arena in 2002 by supporting Nik Elsmore in various rounds of the British Rally Championship. It has now extended its involvement in motor sport to include offshore powerboat racing by closing the deal for a new boat in the Honda Championship.

“With a new Sponsor on board there is even more incentive to win and reward them for the support they are giving us this year, says Jac. “The company is extremely successful in motorsport, its superbike team being one of the biggest in the paddock. Hydrex now want us to show the boat brands hatch during this year’s British Superbike race.”

“My thoughts are obviously the same as always, to win. There are not really any particular team worrying us at the moment but one cannot tell until the first race. Those to look out for are obviously the teams finishing near the top of the championship last season.”
