Dane's houseboat designs to debut at the NEC

A Danish firm is bringing its radical houseboat designs to the UK for the first time.

Waterliving is the brainchild of Niels Hoick Nielsen, who believes the UK offers the perfect market for his product.

“It seemed obvious to expand our business to the UK market, because of the large potential for maritime environments,” Nielsen said.

“At the same time, housing prices in the UK are higher than in Denmark, which makes Waterliving an even more attractive opportunity.”

The firm has already developed houseboat communities in several locations in Denmark, and will debut its designs in this country at Interbuild 2006, on at the NEC Birmingham from 23-27 April.
