Vandals sink a boat off the Isle of Man

Two vessels are damaged in Peel Harbour

Police on the Isle of Man are on the hunt for vandals who struck two boats in Peel Harbour.

The vandals took a yellow and white sportsboat from the boat park on the east coast of the island where it had been parked on its trailer overnight.

The boat was then launched from the Mill Road slipway and sunk, resulting in what police described as “considerable damage“.

A fishing boat called Oyster Catcher was also released from its mooring on the West Quay, police told BBC News.

Both were launched sometime between 1800 BST on Friday and 0800 BST on Saturday.
