Weybridge hosts fundraising river festival

Weybridge Mariners Club is holding a festival to raise much-needed funds to fit out the clubhouse, which has been rebuilt following a devastating fire

Weybridge Mariners Club hopes its festival will raise enough money to fit out its newly built clubhouse.

In 2006 the clubhouse sadly burnt down and insurance money only stretched far enough to rebuild the shell of the building.

The festival will take place on Saturday 6 September from 12pm-4pm at Shepperton Lock Island, Ferry Lane. Admission is free and attractions will include boat bits, bric-a-brac, radio-controlled boats, a BBQ and a Pimms bar, plus a prize draw. The RNLI will also be in attendance.
