Wind down in the West Country with MBM

This month's cruising special focuses on a true cruising gem, the West Country

Spend the weekend in Dartmouth, take a slow cruise from Plymouth to Falmouth, or potter about on the River Dart. Whatever you are looking for from a West Country cruise, MBM has it covered in our 18-page special in our September issue, in the shops today.

And if that’s not enough to have you legging it to the boat before you can say “ships ahoy” then we’ll let you into a little secret: the best place in Dartmouth to have breakfast is Cafe Alf Resco – known to locals as Alf’s – just ask Skippers’ Club member, Sarah Matthews.

“It serves amazing breakfasts from 7am, seven days a week. There can be queues – even in the rain, as getting a table is worth waiting for. It’s rustic, comfortable and atmospheric and no trip to Dartmouth is complete without at least one breakfast here,” she said.

So now we’ve got breakfast sorted, it’s time to start planning that trip.

Our West Country cruising special is in the September issue of Motor Boats Monthly.
