Pardo Yachts has taken its best-seller, the market leading Pardo 43, and made it even better as Hugo Andreae finds out in this tour
Pardo Yachts helped kick off the Italian walkaround dayboat trend with the original 43, and rather than renaming the updated model, they have kept the Pardo 43 name, confident this version refines the original formula without losing its identity.
Deck layout and socialising
Starting at the stern, the redesigned hydraulic swim platform features integrated water slots to assist immersion, an integrated stair-step ladder, and multiple boarding options including an electric bathing ladder and passerelle.
Just ahead, the cantilevered aft sunbed offers extended length over the platform without restricting foot traffic. Below it, the main tender garage easily accommodates a fully inflated two-metre tender, while a separate quick-access hatch allows crew to grab fenders and lines without lifting the entire garage door.
The main cockpit revolves around a versatile dining area where every seat features an individual, one-handed reversible backrest, allowing guests to switch effortlessly between outdoor dining and forward-facing seating while underway.
Overhead, the carbon-fibre T-top features embedded glass panels and a top-mounted electric bimini extension that maximises standing headroom. Moving forward along the broad walkaround decks, synthetic teak-capped bulwarks double as casual perches.
At the bow, a new forward-facing bench pairs with an aft-facing seat to create a dedicated second social area, framing Pardo’s signature reverse bow and pop-out hydraulic anchor system.
Interior and accommodation
The biggest layout transformation happens below deck, where the fixed forward bed of the original model has been replaced by a flexible lower saloon.
A large C-shaped dinette with an expanding table offers ample dining space for up to six people, illuminated by newly added hull windows and deck hatches. When overnighting, the dinette mattress simply folds over to convert the space into a double bed.

Toward the aft end, an open-plan cabin space houses a pair of full-sized single beds featuring a clever overhead deck cutout that provides full sitting headroom.
The accommodation is completed by a surprisingly large en-suite bathroom that includes a vanity, electric toilet, and a completely separate glass-enclosed shower cubicle with an overhead rain shower.

Performance and handling
Engine options range from twin Volvo Penta IPS 500s up to IPS 650s, which deliver a top speed of around 38 knots and seamless joystick docking. Pardo engineered the hull with a fine bow entry that transitions into a moderate V aft, designed to run flat and level underway.
This setup keeps the deep V section immersed to comfortably slice through chop, delivering its most efficient and refined ride at a comfortable cruising speed between 22 and 25 knots.
