Boatshed sign up to RNLI Ambassador scheme

Scheme to strengthen funding base for RNLI gathers pace

Boatshed have become one of the first companies to sign up to the RNLI’s Ambassador scheme.

The agreement means that any customer who buys a boat from Boatshed will be offered a complimentary one-year RNLI Offshore membership.

Boatshed boss Neil Chapman said: “This is a very exciting opportunity.
“It will be great for Boatshed to award RNLI Offshore membership to our many boat buyers and help the RNLI to promote safe boating.”

As an RNLI Offshore member, customers will benefit from interactive sea safety learning programmes, valuable advice on emergency procedures, first aid and meteorology, plus complimentary copies of the Lifeboat magazine – keeping them up to date with the latest news and views, and Offshore News – full of relevant news and information for sea users.

The RNLI launched the Ambassador scheme last month in a bid to strengthen its funding base, away from a legacy-based income towards a more constant user-based income.
