Brits kick start Mumbai Boat Show

If you happen to be in the area, it opens today

The first ever Mumbai Boat Show opens today, 22 February, with British businesses playing a key role.

British involvement has been crucial in setting up the show. The British Marine Federation (BMF) not only helped set up the new Indian Marine Federation, but the BMF International Team and the team who run the London and Southampton Boat Shows have helped the Mumbai Boat Show organisers with sales, technical and marketing advice.

The BMF is also partnering the central pool at the event and will run a number of events on the water.

Exhibitors include Princess, Sunseeker, Laser, Camper & Nicholsons, Pyranaha and many more representing a broad selection of the BMF membership.

BMF chief executive Rob Stevens said: “The British marine industry has an excellent reputation around the world. We are delighted that we have been able to share some of our expertise with the Indian marine industry and help them to create an international show that will market boats and marine products to a new audience.”
