Countdown to Düsseldorf: Bavaria

Bavaria will launch the E34 and highly anticipated R55 at the show

Stand 17/A41

This handsome 58ft (17.7m) flybridge is the new flagship of Bavaria’s R range, which already includes the R40 in coupé and flybridge variants.

If the real thing looks half as good as the renderings, then we’re in for a treat. There’s a classy, cohesive look to the R55 that really appeals. As does the price, from £871,200 inc VAT with IPS800 (600hp).

Beneath the svelte lines is a three-cabin layout, all of which are ensuite. The main deck includes a generous galley-aft layout that splits the kitchen across the beam and opens it out to the cockpit.

The flybridge isn’t as big the Princess 55’s but has a sunbathing space, dinette and wet bar.

IPS800 is standard and is good for a claimed 30 knots, but you can upgrade to the 723hp IPS950 for a top speed just shy of the 35 knots. A potential star of the show.

Bavaria E34

The E34 joins the E40 in the E Series line-up

At the same time as launching the flagship of the R range, Bavaria will also present a new entry-level model in the E range, the E34.

Based on the same principles as the E40, the E34 has a displacement hull and power options ranging from a single 60hp to 200hp diesel and an aft-cabin configuration.

Like the E40, it is available as a sedan or a flybridge.

The aft-cabin configuration allows for two private double cabins with ensuite bathrooms, on a boat that is just 33ft 8in (10.3m) long.

It’s pretty amazing value too, with prices for the Sedan, 60hp version starting from under €200,000 including VAT.
