Fairline open new South Coast outlet

And sell two boats on the first day

Things got off to a positive start at the launch of Fairline’s new outlet in Southampton, with two boats sold within hours of the doors opening.

Fairline MD Derek Carter (pictured) cut the ribbon outside the new roadside site, at Hamble River Boatyard, Swanwick.

The outlet is the result of a joining of hands by Fairline Essex and Fairline Channel Islands and is the point of contact for customers from Bristol to Eastbourne.

The 9,000 square site is made up of office and riverside facilities where Fairlines new and second-hand will be displayed.

James Barke, MD of Fairline Essex, said: “The vast space and fantastic location mean we can offer a great display of boats from the Fairline range, as well as enhanced personal service and after-sales support.”

Derek Carter told those present that more than £100,000 had been spent on preparing the site.

He said it was a mark of a buoyant industry.

All the current Fairline dealers on the South Coast, including Port Solent, Poole, Southampton and Shamrock Quay have relocated to the new HQ.

Fairline Channel Islands retains all sales and servicing facilities for Jersey, Guernsey, Sark and Alderney.

Fairline Essex continues to look after customers in Essex, Kent, the Thames estuary and East Sussex.
