Ladies get special treatment
The PSP Southampton Boat Show this year is offering an Elite Ladies Day Experience.
The Ladies Day Experience, at £85, gives access to the Ladies Day Lounge where women will be treated to delicious chocolates from Elizabeth Shaw, be able to peruse the latest fashions from Chatham Clothing’s leisure range, enjoy a buffet lunch, private pay bar facilities and an on-water experience in a Fairline, Sunseeker or Princess.
Celebrity powerboat champion Shelley Jory will be on hand to talk about her experiences as a professional racer.
The show has a Ladies Day this year, on Thursday 18 September, when ticket sales will go in part to charity Touching Tiny Lives, Action Medical Research’s fundraising appeal which aims to help the most vulnerable babies in this country.
The Ladies Day theme will run in various guises throughout the show on that Thursday.
Organisers say: “Whether it’s credit-crunch defying retail therapy; tasting their way through the delicious delicacies at the Show’s new Restaurant SO40, in association with Cunard Line; soaking up the special Ladies Day version of the Show’s retro fashion show on the Main Stage – Powered by Fairline (which will feature Liz Hurley’s new swimwear range!); or simply sitting back and taking in the Show at a more leisurely pace from the relaxed surrounds of the Sunseeker Champagne Bar, there will be plenty to keep ladies occupied at Mayflower Park.”
Andrew Williams, Managing Director of National Boat Shows comments” “We’re delighted to have on board such a fantastic charity as Action Medical Research with their Touching Tiny Lives appeal.
“The invaluable work the charity carries out will no doubt resonate with all our visitors, particularly the many families we welcome through our gates each year, therefore we felt they would be a particularly suitable partner for our Ladies Day initiative.
“We are delighted to be able to contribute to their vital research through contributions from ticket sales at the Show.”
