Petticrows to use Nimbus hulls

English boatbuilder Petticrows, responsible for Dragon racing yachts, has announced it is to start production of two exclusive motoryachts based on Nimbus hulls.

A former double Olympic Gold Medallist and several times sailing world champion, Poul Ricard Hoj-Jensen’s Petticrows’ company is best known for his production of racing yachts like Dragons and Etchells. Now, with help from Swedish boatbuilder Nimbus, Petticrows has developed two models based on the Nimbus 21 foot sport cruiser, with very exclusive teak decks.

There is one open model with a steering pulpet, called Liberty Commuter, and a sport cruiser, called Liberty Convertible. Both boats are built with advanced composite hulls. The boats are 7 m long, 2.4m beam and are equipped with single Volvo Penta KAD 32 Diesel or 5.7 Gsi petrol engine.
