Powerboating’s top female stars team up

And they do a fine impression of Ursula Andress too

Powerboaters Sarah Donohue and Jo Dixon have teamed up to race in the Honda Formula Four-stroke 225hp series.

The glamorous duo have vast racing experience between them and will form formidable competition for the series’ established stars.

Sarah (left) will be known to many from her stunt role in Bond film The World Is Not Enough, as well as a string of powerboating titles in the UK and abroad. This will be her first series back in the UK for five years, after competing regularly in the USA.

Jo is also an experienced racer, and as daughter of veteran powerboater Debra France has the sport in her blood. She began her own racing career as a teenager and continued, despite a serious accident aged 18 when her catamaran barrel-rolled at high speed, until the early 1990s.
She is now head of department at an IT equipment firm.

The duo will be racing for Delmar Surface Prep, a two-boat team owned by Mark Glanville and Tony Crossley.
