Sail, Power & Watersports Show countdown

Exhibitor list is unveiled

It’s five weeks to go until the opening of the 2008 Sail, Power & Watersports Show at Earls Court and organisers have posted the preliminary exhibitor list for visitors.

“We’re promoting affordable boating,” says show organiser James Brooke.

“It doesn’t matter how much money visitors have in their pockets, there’ll be something for everyone from premier brands including Oyster, Pearl, Southerly, J Yachts, Azimut, Trader, Cranchi, Grand Soleil, Pedro, Nimbus, Pursuit, Glastron, Four Winns, Bavaria, Scorpion, Regal, Hunton and Ribeye right the way through to the smallest boat on display, Heyland Marine’s YAK, costing £299.

“There are kayaks, dinghies, fishing boats and RIBs on display as well as companies selling sailing and motor yacht joint-ownership schemes.

“For visitors looking specifically for a second hand boat, the Boatbid.com Boat Auction and the Yachtworld Brokers Village will provide a bargain or two.”

He adds: “The credit crunch has created challenges for most businesses and we’re delighted that so many companies have identified with the opportunities that our show presents them, with an affordable and efficient way to exhibit in front of a new audience.

“As we approach exhibitor capacity we have clear indications, with figures from advance ticket sales, that this show will be a thriving, action-packed experience for visitors and exhibitors alike with two late night openings on 26th and 27th for Christmas shopping.”

A new partnership with South West Trains will promote the show to people travelling to and from London and has presented one lucky commuter with the opportunity to win an inflatable dinghy supplied by Gibbs Marine.

The 70,000 readers of South West Train’s ‘Emotion’ Magazine will be able to read about the show and find out how to enter the competition.
