Survivors of oil rig spotted in freezing water

More than a day after the rig capsized, signs of life are being reported



The owner the of oil rig company has said that there are signs of life after a number of life rafts have been spotted in the sea of Okhotsk.

The emergency services would not confirm if rafts have been found, but a spokes man from owner of the rig, Arktikmorneftegazrazvedka, said that four life rafts have been found.

67 men were on board the oil rig as it was being towed to port when a

wave turned the rig over, and it sank. 14 men were rescued from the 1°C

water, but the rest were not found.
