Video: Cooper 745 and 800 tested on the Thames

Our latest boat test video is something of an international affair, as Nick Burnham looks at a Dutch-designed boat that was built in China

Cooper’s dayboats are the subject of our latest boat test video, as Nick Burnham takes the 800 and the 745 out onto the Thames.

Designed by a Dutch company and built in China, the Cooper range is ideal for daytrips along the river, with plenty of seating in the big open cockpit.

Nick starts with the 800, which he finds to be a nice, sleek boat, which draws plenty of power from its Yanmar shaft-drive diesel engine.

Those looking for extra power can have this upgraded to 110bhp, meaning that you can even get up to a planing speed.

Next up, we take a look at the 745, which is a similar concept, except that this slightly smaller model comes with a Yanmar three-cylinder diesel engine.
